Foster Program
Foster Care saves lives! We depend on the kindness, love, and homes of our foster care crew. They help us save hundreds of lives every year by giving animals a second chance. Our foster program was created with the help of caring individuals in our community as a way of providing more time for animals to find furever homes. Members of our foster care crew care for shelter animals in their own homes. They may care for kittens or puppies that are too small or too sick to be in the shelter, animals that have been abused or injured and need time to heal, or animals that just need love and care for a short period of time. Once they are old or well enough to be adopted they can come back to the shelter, or their foster parent can take them to offsite adoption events
Your one-year Sponsor helps us care for for the thousands of homeless dogs and cats that come through our doors each year. Every animal is special, with their own hopes and needs, and each deserves a second chance. Through our Sponsor-a-Kennel Program, you can be part of the work we do and make a difference for our animals. We provide tons of love, and your sponsorship will help to provide food, vaccinations, treatment, medications, blankets and toys. Sponsor-a-Kennel yearly fees are: $100 to Sponsor a Dog Kennel $100 to Sponsor a Cat Kennel $250 to Sponsor an Outdoor Kennel $500 to Sponsor a Vehicle To mail in, print a Sponsor-a-Kennel form, and send to: SpokAnimal Attn: Sponsor-a-Kennel Program 710 N Napa St Spokane, WA 99202

About Us
SpokAnimal C.A.R.E. is passionately dedicated to the placement, protection and health of animals through legislation, education and programs for pets and their people. We have been given the unique privilege to assist our placement partners to address the critical issues surrounding the pets in their care, whether that be overpopulation, illness, or special needs animals. We help each of them day after day, animal by animal. Shelters and rescue groups work tirelessly to protect and save lives. With the support and encouragement of SpokAnimal, the animals in their care are given a second chance. We have done a great job the last 30 years in decreasing overpopulation, increasing our ability and commitment to spay/neuter, providing education to school children and groups, and hosting superb training for animal welfare workers, volunteers and the general public
Our Walk-In Clinic hours are: Tuesday & Thursday: 2pm - 4:30pm Due to the pandemic, we are not currently performing spay or neuter surgeries, in order to save the equipment our veterinarians would use for the healthcare workers that need it. Due to a need in our community, we have reopened our clinic. The Dorothy Clark Animal Center is located at 715 N Crestline, just behind SpokAnimal. Please call (509) 534-4253 to make a spay or neuter appointment. We require a pre-payment to schedule ($25 for cats, $50 for dogs), and that will be deducted from the price of the surgery. Additional charges may apply for special conditions. Prices include surgery, anesthesia, antibiotic injection, take home pain medication for dogs and a pain injection for cats
